Will it cost me anything to get a quote?
No, all of our online quotations are provided with no obligation and free of charge
How much will I receive for my scrap vehicle?
The price we pay for scrap cars ultimately depends on the value of scrap metal. As this is a worldwide commodity, its price fluctuates daily, however all quotations are valid for 7 days for your convenience.
What happens after I have accepted quotation?
Once you've accepted our quote, a member of our Team will contact you to confirm your details and payment method and arrange a suitable date and time for collection.
What if I change my mind after I have accepted your quote?
Please tell us as soon as possible if after accepting the quote you decide that you don't want us to collect your vehicle. However, if you do not tell us that you have changed your mind and we send a truck to collect your vehicle, you will be charged a collection fee.
Does my car need to be in an accessible location for it to be collected?
Yes. Your car needs to be in a location where it can be safely accessed by a standard recovery vehicle, on ground solid enough to allow access by the recovery vehicle and close enough to allow the car to either be driven or moved via a winch.
Do I have to be present at the time of collection?
If you are selling your vehicle for scrap, you do not need to be present for the collection providing you have notified us of the location of the keys and documents. The vehicle owner will need to be present for vehicle sales however, at the vehicles registered address.
How long after I have accepted your quote until you collect my car?
We will pick up your car within 1-2 days of you accepting our quotation, excluding public holidays. We will telephone you to confirm the details and arrange an appointment to collect the car.
Do you provide weekend collections?
Yes. We provide collections 7 days a week, excluding public holidays.
Can I call for a quote 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?
Yes you can!
Do you provide a receipt upon collection?
Yes. The driver will always provide you with a receipt for your car upon collection. The receipt will detail your contact details, our contact details, along with the agreed value for the car and the method of payment, and any special conditions (eg. if owner not present at collection, location of keys, parts missing etc).
When and how will I receive payment for my car?
We can pay by cash, cheque or BACS bank transfer. You will be asked for your preferred option prior to the collection of your vehicle.
What happens if I've lost the keys?
Providing the vehicle is in an accessible location and is offered as scrap, then this should not be a problem. For vehicle sales, you will need to provide at least one key.
Does the vehicle need insurance and/or an MOT?
Only if you intend to deliver the vehicle to us, otherwise our own insurance policies will cover your vehicle during the collection process.
Does my car have to be free from damage or mechanical faults?
No. Damage and mechanical faults should not accept the scrap value of your car, although they will affect the amount offered for vehicle sales depending on the severity.
What if my vehicle is missing parts?
If your car is missing major parts then this will affect the amount we offer for both scrap and vehicle sales. Our definition of a major part would include the engine, gearbox, starter motor, alternator, exhaust catalyst, front & rear lights, wheels, and body panels.

What does 'subject to viewing' mean?
Valuations and quotations issued by us are subject to viewing the car. They should not be construed as a contract. The condition of your vehicle must be confirmed by a member of our valuation team prior to purchase. In some cases, this may mean that we increase the offer we originally made; however in some circumstances, it may be necessary for us to reduce the valuation.
Why not just sell my car privately?
Selling your car privately can be very time consuming, as well as receiving calls at unsociable hours, many of whom are time-wasters offering you ludicrous prices. Dealing with us is free from hassle, quick and we don't charge you for any quotes or payment. We will collect the car at a time that suits you, and help you every step of the way.
